“Don't become arrogant”, 4Minute's JENYER sincerely advised junior groups

Former member of the group "4Minute," JENYER(Jeon Ji-yoon), gave heartfelt advice to junior idols.

On the 27th, Jeon JENYER made a long-awaited appearance on the YouTube channel "Olympic Update(근황 올림픽)."

During her time as a member of 4Minute, she received a lot of love. Regarding the earnings at that time, she said, "We reached the breakeven point and settled the accounts right in the first year. It was good. We bought various things impulsively. That's what everyone does in the beginning. We buy luxury items and such. But they don't hold any meaning. After receiving the settlement, I bought a few luxury bags as a psychological reward, but now I don't carry any of them. Because luxury items are too heavy in weight. Since I've tried them, I know."

She continued, "So I started studying. If you invest the money you earn elsewhere, you can actually make more money. I didn't want to spend it recklessly, so I turned my attention to investment and financial management. When you earn a lot of money, don't spend it, save it and study financial management to make investments. Because a large amount of money comes in all at once during the settlement, you briefly fall into the misconception that 'this will last forever.' When you're active, you have a lot of fans, so you don't know. I want to let you know that it's not eternal. If things go well and then fall apart, it becomes debt. Don't become arrogant."

She also shared, "When I was active as a member of 4Minute, we received payments every three months. And we had to repay the training expenses we incurred during our trainee days first. If we couldn't debut, we had to repay it before leaving. That's why we had to surpass the breakeven point first to be able to settle the accounts. Eventually, we had to save and live frugally during our trainee days so that we wouldn't be shocked by the settlement numbers later."

JENYER also gave an update on her current situation, saying, "I am currently active in a band called 'PRSNT' and engaging in various personal activities, such as writing."

4Minute, the group JENYER belonged to, was a girl group produced by Cube Entertainment in 2009. Consisting of HyunA, Kwon So-hyun, Nam Ji-hyun, Heo Ga-yoon, and JENYER, the group disbanded in 2016.

4Minute released several popular songs after their debut, including "Hot Issue," "Muzik," "Mirror Mirror," and "Crazy." They received awards such as the Rookie Award at the 24th Golden Disk Awards, the Grand Prize at the 20th High1 Seoul Music Awards, and the Digital Song Division Grand Prize at the 26th Golden Disk Awards.
