Highlight's Son Dongwoon is getting married.

On the 27th, Around Us Entertainment, the agency of Highlight, announced, "Our artist Son Dongwoon will be getting married to a non-celebrity partner in September." They further stated, "The wedding ceremony will be held privately with only close family and friends in attendance. Out of consideration for the non-celebrity fiancée and both families, we will not disclose specific details such as the date and venue. We ask for the understanding of our fans regarding this matter."

They also mentioned, "After marriage, Son Dongwoon will continue his active endeavors as a member of Highlight, a singer-songwriter, and an all-around entertainer. We kindly request your continuous support and love for Son Dongwoon's future endeavors as he presents a more mature image."

Earlier, Son Dongwoon personally shared the news of his marriage through a handwritten letter.

He expressed gratitude, saying, "Fortunately, I have met someone who understands and cares for me a lot. So, at some point, I felt that I wanted to be together with that person for the rest of my life, and we have decided to hold the wedding ceremony in September." He added, "As my partner is not a celebrity, the wedding will be a quiet affair attended only by close family and friends." He apologized for not being able to personally share the news earlier and thanked the fans for their understanding.

He continued, "I met all of you for the first time when I was 19 years old. I have been the youngest at home and in the team, and all of you have shown me tremendous support and love as the youngest. I'm really grateful for that." He promised to repay the love of the fans as a more mature Son Dongwoon, doing his best in his position.
