Red Velvet's Wendy Takes on her First Musical Challenge, Cast in the 10th Anniversary Performance of 'Rebecca'

Red Velvet's Wendy is set to challenge her first musical role in "Rebecca."

EMK Musical Company, the production company, unveiled the casting for the 10th-anniversary performance of the musical "Rebecca" on the 19th.

While Shin Young-sook, Ok Joo-hyun, Ryu Jeong-han, Min Young-ki, and Enoch have already been confirmed for the cast, Wendy's participation in "Rebecca" as her first musical endeavor is drawing attention. Wendy will take on the role of "I" and showcase her acting and singing skills. "I" is a character who evolves from a delicate and pure woman to a strong and determined individual.

Armed with refined elegance and distinctive vocal abilities, Wendy, who has already gained recognition for her solid talents, is highly anticipated to deliver her best performance on the musical stage. The anticipation and expectations from the audience and fans are growing for Wendy's diverse and captivating portrayal of "I."

"Rebecca," which premiered at the Vienna Raimund Theater in Austria in 2006, has been performed in a total of 12 countries and translated into 10 languages.

As a successful production that has attracted a cumulative audience of 950,000 viewers over six seasons since its Korean premiere in 2013, "Rebecca" is the work of composer Sylvester Levay and writer Michael Kunze, known for musicals like "Mozart!" and "Elisabeth."
