Blackpink's Jennie Opens Up About Recent Loss of Her Pet Dog (+Video)

Blackpink member Jennie recently bid farewell to her pet dog.

On the web entertainment show 'Kang Hyung-wook's Dog Show' hosted by animal trainer Kang Hyung-wook, Blackpink's Jennie appeared as a guest along with her pet dog Kuma on the 26th of last month.

While discussing various topics related to pet dogs, Kang Hyung-wook asked Jennie, "Were there any questions you had while raising Kuma?" Unexpectedly, Jennie revealed that her first pet dog, Kai, had crossed the rainbow bridge recently. Jennie said, "I recently sent my first baby (pet dog Kai) to heaven, and it was very difficult for Kuma. I was wondering if there was any comfort I could provide..." She also mentioned, "I haven't talked about this anywhere, but if I were to talk about it, I wanted to talk about it in front of Teacher (Kang Hyung-wook). My family noticed that Kuma was feeling down."

Kang Hyung-wook explained, "The second dog shows a strong attachment to the first dog unintentionally. They usually chase after and imitate the first dog, like a mother... The second dog usually tries to mimic its own emotions. They thought they could just follow the first dog, but now that the dog is gone, it becomes very difficult for them in the early stages." He then asked, "But humans have a harder time. Is your mother okay?" Jennie replied, "Actually, my mom and I didn't talk or have any conversations for a while. Our emotions towards each other became so intense. It took some time to talk about this," expressing her heartache.
