Cha Tae-hyun and Zo In-sung Launch Their Own Agency — And Sign a Rising Global Star!

Basecamp Company, the talent agency co-founded by actors Cha Tae-hyun and Zo In-sung, has welcomed actor Im Joo-hwan as its newest member.​

On April 30, the agency announced, “We are pleased to have actor Im Joo-hwan, who has consistently showcased his acting prowess across various projects, join our family.” They added, “We will actively support his endeavors to ensure he can engage in a wide range of activities.”​

Im Joo-hwan made his acting debut in the 2004 SBS drama Magic and has since appeared in numerous productions, including dramas like The Snow Queen, Oh My Ghost, Uncontrollably Fond, The Spies Who Loved Me, and Three Bold Siblings; films such as A Frozen Flower, The Technicians, and Because I Love You; as well as stage plays like A Streetcar Named Desire and Killology. His steady performances have earned him widespread acclaim.​

Notably, Im Joo-hwan appeared as a part-time worker on tvN’s variety show Unexpected Business, where he impressed viewers with his versatility and strong work ethic, endearing himself to both Cha Tae-hyun and Zo In-sung. His close friendship with the two actors has been evident through various broadcasts.​

Currently, Im Joo-hwan is portraying the role of Philip, a documentary photographer, in the play The Pride. Additionally, he has captured global attention by playing a member of a Busan-based gang expanding into London in the recently released third season of the British crime drama Gangs of London.​

With Im Joo-hwan's addition, Basecamp Company now represents Cha Tae-hyun, Zo In-sung, Jin Ki-joo, and Im Joo-hwan.
