SEVENTEEN’s Legendary Journey Continues: 10th Anniversary 5th Album Trailer Out Now

SEVENTEEN is marking their 10th anniversary with a daring new move.

At midnight on April 28 (KST), SEVENTEEN dropped the trailer for their 5th full album HAPPY BURSTDAY, titled DARE OR DEATH, through their official YouTube channel and social media.

A New Chapter Begins with 'DARE OR DEATH'

The trailer is split into three parts: the main film, plus two alternate paths, Side A DARE and Side B DEATH.

It explores SEVENTEEN’s confrontation with their own fearless alter ego, the "Daredevil," as they stand at a crossroads between challenge and complacency.

In the main trailer, the members watch as the "Daredevil" falls engulfed in flames, stirring a storm of emotions within them.

Their turmoil, oscillating between fear and madness, mirrors the Daredevil’s, hinting that they are one and the same. The video ends with Wonwoo standing atop a rooftop, taking a deep breath, as the words "Choose for yourself. Challenge or Settle" flash across the screen.

Side A DARE portrays SEVENTEEN pushing through their fears to move forward. The members transcend their limits, becoming one with their inner Daredevil. Scenes of them twisting and rebirthing through flames leave a powerful, lasting impact.

Side B DEATH shows what happens when they choose comfort over challenge. Paralyzed by fear, the members remain stuck, gradually fading away into the smoke. The final shot features a "MISSING" poster flying across the screen, leaving viewers with a chilling sense of loss.

At the end of the trailer, two powerful messages appear: "FACE THE CHALLENGE, BURN ANEW" and "WITHOUT CHALLENGE, THERE IS NO NEW BEGINNING," emphasizing the album’s core theme.

'HAPPY BURSTDAY' Signals a New Beginning

SEVENTEEN chose the album title HAPPY BURSTDAY to symbolize a "Birthday" blended with "Burst" — the explosion of new beginnings. Following the trailer’s release, excitement among fans is surging as they speculate about the music and stories the new album will unveil.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recently wrapped up their 'SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING 'HOLIDAY'' with huge success at Kyocera Dome Osaka, holding concerts on April 24, 26, and 27. Over three days, they drew a total of 120,000 fans, selling out every show and proving their massive popularity in Japan.

They are set to continue their fan meeting tour at Saitama Super Arena on May 10–11.
