Subway's Playful Jingle: Young K's Unexpected Charm.
Young K of the beloved four-member K-band DAY6, known for his big appetite and even bigger stage presence, has been announced as the newest model for Subway.

On April 22, Subway Korea shared a teaser video on its official Instagram account titled, "A startled fox with wide eyes? Why did Young K drop to the floor in shock? Catch him on April 29!"
In the video, Young K appears with classic corded earphones in his ears and a signature green cardigan — a nod to Subway’s brand color — draped over his shoulders. As he stares into the camera, the yellow word “TUK!" suddenly drops from the sky, prompting a dramatic reaction from him.
The ad ends with a jingle that caught fans’ ears immediately. It turns out the catchy signature sound matches one that Young K previously introduced in KickFlip JYP Debut Masterclass I EP.1 Young K, which was released on the official KickFlip channel back in January.

Online reactions quickly rolled in, with fans praising the collaboration across social media. Many commented on Subway’s excellent taste and called Young K the perfect model choice. Others gushed about his charm, saying he was so cute they now wanted to eat Subway for every meal. The pairing of Young K and Subway was widely seen as a winning combo, and the new jingle earned rave reviews. Fans noted that it was catchy and memorable, and some even pointed out that it was clear the marketing team had thoroughly studied Young K’s personality and style. As one fan simply put it, “Subway, I love you.”
Meanwhile, DAY6 is enjoying a massive resurgence. Their 2017 hit You Were Beautiful recently made a surprise return to the charts, climbing all the way to the top — proving the group’s enduring popularity nearly a decade after their debut.
Riding that momentum, the band has landed numerous endorsement deals and is earning widespread recognition. In a recent magazine interview, the members shared heartfelt reflections on their journey.
Leader Sungjin said, “I believe flowers can’t bloom without hardships — it’s just a matter of when they bloom. As long as hope doesn’t fade, I believe you can eventually live the life you hoped for. It was the same for us.”
Young K added, “The essence of DAY6’s music is time. Rather than racing toward a finish line, we’ve flowed through time. The result is something created by every member, our team behind the scenes, and each and every My Day.”
DAY6 is currently on their FOREVER YOUNG world tour, with 45 shows across 23 cities. After performing in Yokohama on April 26–27 and Jakarta on May 3, they will wrap up the tour with a grand finale at Seoul’s KSPO DOME on May 9–11 and 16–18.
