BTS’s Jin Impresses with Cooking Skills on Netflix’s Kian’s Bizarre B&B, Even True Foodie Ji Ye-eun Couldn’t Stop Eating
BTS member Jin is winning hearts not only with his charm but also with his impressive cooking skills on the new Netflix variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B.

On April 15, a press conference was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun in Seoul to promote the series, which features Kian84, Jin, and Ji Ye-eun running a quirky guesthouse on Korea’s remote Ulleung Island. Described as a chaotic yet heartwarming variety show, the series blends spontaneous humor with genuine moments of connection as the trio hosts guests in unexpected ways.

Jin quickly earned the nickname “MacGyver Jin” for his all-around skills—cooking, cleaning, repairing, and even acting as the team’s emotional anchor. His commitment to the B&B and wholehearted enthusiasm have become a highlight of the show.
During the press event, when asked if he had secretly worked as a chef, BTS’s Jin laughed and explained that his love for cooking began with his love for food—but the real turning point came during his military service. Jin revealed that he had served as an assistant cook in the army, spending much of his time in the kitchen. That experience sparked both a skill and deeper interest in cooking.

He added that he also enjoys cooking at home, and one dish he often makes is doenjang jjigae (soybean stew), a comforting favorite.
“I’ve always enjoyed eating, so I naturally found myself surrounded by chefs and food lovers,” he shared. “Even if someone isn’t close to me, if their food is good, I’m not afraid to ask how they made it. I don’t have a ton of recipes memorized, but I’ve learned what ingredients bring out which flavors. I may not be perfect, but I do my best to serve good food.”

Ji Ye-eun, who co-stars alongside Jin, also praised his cooking, calling herself a true foodie who was thoroughly impressed by everything he prepared. “Honestly, everything he made tasted amazing,” she said with a laugh.
Kian’s Bizarre B&B premiered on April 8 and releases three new episodes every Tuesday until April 22. Episode 4 dropped on April 15, showcasing the team’s second round of guesthouse operations. As the series unfolds, viewers can expect more heartwarming moments, delicious dishes, and Jin’s quietly impressive presence in every episode.
In a heartfelt moment from Kian’s Bizarre B&B, Kian84 opens up about his late father, shedding tears as he reflects on memories from his childhood. While sitting with guests on the island, the typically lighthearted atmosphere turns emotional when Kian shares how certain moments and places remind him of his dad. The candid scene offers a rare glimpse into Kian's personal side, resonating deeply with viewers.
Kian’s Bizarre B&B, now streaming on Netflix, features Kian84 as the host of an offbeat island guesthouse, joined by BTS’s Jin and Ji Ye-eun, where fun challenges and unexpected bonds unfold.
