Actress Kim Guk-hee, who’s been rising rapidly thanks to standout performances in hit projects like 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' and 'Dark Nuns', made a surprising confession during the April 14 episode of Channel A’s variety show 'Besties Documentary – 4-Person Table.'

Kim revealed that while filming 'Dark Nuns', where she plays a shaman and close friend of Song Hye-kyo’s character, she accidentally stubbed out a cigarette on Song’s hand. “There was a scene where I had to smoke. I was supposed to put it out right after they yelled ‘cut,’ but the paper cup they gave me as an ashtray was way too small… and I ended up putting it out on the back of Hye-kyo’s hand by mistake,” she recalled.

She continued, “I immediately asked if she was okay. If a blister had formed or her hand turned red, I would’ve lost it from guilt. Thankfully, that didn’t happen.” Kim added that when she told her husband about the incident, he responded in shock, saying, ‘You what? You burned Song Hye-kyo’s hand?!’

Actor Jang Hyun-sung, also appeared on the show, couldn’t hold back either, jokingly exclaiming, “Are you crazy? What were you thinking? That’s our Song Hye-kyo!”

Fortunately, Song Hye-kyo took the incident in stride. Reflecting on their time working together, Kim shared, “Just looking into her eyes was enough. It felt like we really built a strong bond between women. We’re still filming together now, and it’s been nothing but great. She’s so reliable and warm.”

Meanwhile, Song Hye-kyo is set to star alongside Gong Yoo in Netflix’s upcoming mega-project 'Slow and Intense' (English title TBD), a high-budget series reportedly backed by 70 billion KRW. Set in the 1960s–70s, the drama will tell the story of a stage superstar and the people behind their rise to fame.
