“Where do K-Celebs Live?” SHINee’s Minho Buys ₩5 Billion Home from Korea's Most Famous Actor

SHINee’s Minho has been revealed as the new owner of a luxury apartment once owned by top Korean actor Ha Jung-woo, in a high-profile real estate deal worth ₩5 billion.

According to a report from News1, Minho (real name Choi Min-ho) purchased a unit in Tierra House, a high-end residential building in Jamwon-dong, Seocho District, Seoul, that was previously owned by Ha Jung-woo. The transaction took place in May 2023, and the ownership transfer was officially registered in August 2023.

💰 A Billion-Won Transaction with No Mortgage Attached

The apartment, located on the 8th floor, has an exclusive area of 244.91㎡ (approx. 2,637 sq ft). No mortgage was registered on the property, leading experts to speculate that Minho paid the full amount in cash.

Tierra House is considered one of the most prestigious buildings south of the Han River, offering unobstructed views of the river and a premium level of privacy — with only one unit per floor and a total of 15 units in the building.

Each apartment includes five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a walk-in closet, all designed with luxury in mind. The total supplied area is 304.48㎡ (approx. 3,277 sq ft).

📈 Big Profit for Ha Jung-woo

Actor Ha Jung-woo originally purchased the unit in May 2013 for ₩2.7 billion, meaning this latest transaction could have earned him a ₩2.3 billion profit over the course of 10 years.

Minho debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 and has remained active in music, acting, and variety shows. Ha Jung-woo, meanwhile, is currently preparing for the release of his new film ‘Lobby’, in which he stars and also serves as director.
