Jin Says "Want to Connect…" — BTS Star Drops Surprise Comeback Teaser in Seoul

Jin of BTS is making a dazzling comeback this May. On April 15, his agency BigHit Music officially announced that Jin will release his second mini-album titled Echo on May 16 at 1 p.m. KST. The upcoming release comes about six months after his first solo album Happy dropped in November 2024.

According to BigHit, Jin made the decision to return quickly, motivated by his desire to connect with fans more frequently!

🎵 Echo: A Reflection of Life’s Emotional Waves

Echo explores the emotional reverberations of everyday life — likened to echoes that spread in various forms. The album offers a candid yet playful portrayal of relatable moments and feelings through Jin’s unique perspective.

The album includes seven new tracks, showcasing Jin’s diverse vocal tones. Like his debut solo album, Echo is also based on band sounds, promising a rich, organic listening experience.

Surprise Teaser in Seoul

On the morning of April 15, a surprise teaser video featuring Jin was unveiled at K-POP Square Media in COEX, Gangnam, Seoul. In the clip, Jin appears inside a claw machine filled with plush toys, pulling out a banner that reveals the comeback date: May 16.

BigHit Music commented, “We wanted to announce Jin’s comeback in a unique way that would delight fans and build excitement. We hope everyone enjoys the anticipation leading up to the release of Echo.”

The video will be screened every day at 30-minute intervals from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. KST, until April 19.

In addition to his musical comeback, Jin is also making waves in the variety show scene. He currently stars in the Netflix original series Kian’s Bizarre B&B, where he showcases his comedic charm alongside webtoon artist and entertainer Kian84 and co-star Ji Ye-eun.

The series has topped the “Everyone’s Watching” list on Netflix US as of April 9, and also hit No.1 in Taiwan and Turkey. In Korea, it ranked No.2 on the “Trending Now” chart and No.3 in the “Top 10 Series Today” just one day after its release.

Kian’s Bizarre B&B follows Kian84 as he opens a guesthouse on Korea’s remote Ulleungdo Island, welcoming visitors in a quirky, variety-style format. Jin’s unexpected and endearing participation has drawn praise and viral attention both at home and abroad.
