Diving into Dark Waters!
Actress Kim Hye-yoon, who recently gained massive popularity through the hit drama Lovely Runner, is set to take on a bold transformation in her next role — this time, in horror.
According to distributor Showbox on April 15, the upcoming film Salmokji (working title, English title TBD) has confirmed its lead cast and officially entered production.

🕯️ A Mystery Lurking in Deep Waters
Salomkji is a horror thriller that follows a filming crew dispatched to a remote reservoir to update road-view images. What begins as a routine task turns terrifying when they encounter an unidentified, shadowy presence hidden in the dark waters.
In the film, Kim Hye-yoon will play the role of Soo-in, a woman who heads out on a work trip only to be swept up in a series of strange and disturbing events. Having cemented her image as a queen of rom-coms, Kim is now aiming to showcase her darker, more intense side — possibly earning the title of "horror queen" in the process.
Lee Jong-won Joins in His First Commercial Film Lead
Rising actor Lee Jong-won, known for his versatility in dramas, will co-star as Gi-tae, a character who joins Soo-in in unraveling the sinister mystery of the reservoir. This marks Lee’s first lead role in a commercial film, and fans are looking forward to seeing a fresh side of his acting on the big screen.
Salomkji is scheduled to begin filming in May and is already drawing major buzz as one of the most anticipated Korean horror films of the year.
