Unraveling the Mystery.
The man who broke into and stole valuables from the home of South Korean comedian Park Na-rae has been revealed to be a suspect already under police surveillance for previous thefts.

During a regular briefing on April 14, police confirmed that the suspect — a man in his 30s — had no prior connection to Park. Authorities added that he was arrested on April 10 and is currently under detention.
According to police, the suspect, referred to as Mr. A, acted alone and did not realize the house belonged to Park Na-rae. After breaking in, he reportedly stole items worth tens of millions of won and attempted to offload them as stolen goods.
At one point, speculation arose that the burglary might have been an inside job, since Park's residence lacked surveillance cameras. However, police have since confirmed that the incident had no internal involvement.
Investigators were able to identify Mr. A using security footage from the surrounding area. They later discovered that he had committed a similar theft in Seoul’s Yongsan District just weeks earlier — and was already being tracked for repeat offenses involving the same method of entry.
Mr. A is accused of stealing valuables from Park’s home on April 4, and Park only realized the theft had occurred four days later, reporting it to police on April 8.
Authorities plan to forward the case to prosecutors next week after completing further investigations into possible additional crimes.

Park Na-rae’s Agency Speaks Out
Park’s agency, ENP COMPANY, released an official statement expressing relief over the arrest:
“We are grateful for the swift work of the authorities that led to the suspect’s arrest,” the agency stated. “There had been speculation about internal involvement, but we want to make it clear that this is not true. We respectfully ask that media refrain from reporting unverified claims.”
The agency also warned of taking legal action against the spread of false information online:
“Groundless rumors and baseless claims are spreading across online communities and social media. We will respond firmly with legal action and without leniency.”
They concluded by thanking fans for their concern and support during the incident.
