Actor Breaks Silence After Posting R-Rated Content on SNS

Actor Nam Yoon-su issued an apology after reposting R-rated content related to an adult product on his Instagram.

On April 13, Nam Yoon-su shared an ad image depicting a woman’s private parts symbolized with balloons—clearly an adult product promotion. He reposted it to his Instagram Story but quickly deleted it. Due to the explicit sexual content, the post sparked immediate backlash on social media and online communities. Comments like “Nam Yoon-su posted a 19+ ad” spread rapidly across forums.

Shortly after the controversy erupted, Nam responded via a fan communication platform, saying, “I got messages from fans asking about the repost while I was driving and thought I was hacked.” He explained he hadn’t realized what the post was about until fans alerted him. “I saw a strange post and was confused—it looked like spam,” he said.

As the issue continued to stir, Nam Yoon-su addressed it again via Instagram Stories, stating, “I didn’t realize such an inappropriate post had been reshared. I’m truly sorry for making people uncomfortable and will be more careful in the future.”

His agency also released a statement, explaining, “It appears the phone in his pocket was accidentally triggered while driving. Both Nam Yoon-su and the agency were made aware of the situation through fan reports and deleted the post immediately.” They added, “We deeply regret that anyone felt discomfort due to the inappropriate content.”

Nam Yoon-su gained recognition last year through the TVING drama Love in the Big City, and his next project, The Borrowed Body, is set to be released soon.
