Global Star on the Rise: Byeon Woo-seok's Asian Takeover!
Actor Byeon Woo-seok will make a special appearance at the upcoming Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 (ASEA 2025) presented by ZOZOTOWN, taking place on May 28–29 at K-Arena Yokohama in Japan.

On April 10, the ASEA organizing committee officially announced that Byeon will be appearing as a Grand Prize presenter on the second day of the ceremony, May 29.

This event will also mark a reunion between Byeon Woo-seok and actress Kim Hye-yoon, as she will co-host the awards alongside MONSTA X’s Hyungwon and THE BOYZ’s Younghoon.
Byeon gained massive popularity last year for his role as Ryu Sun-jae in the tvN romance drama Lovely Runner. With his striking visuals and emotionally delicate acting, Byeon captured hearts not only in Korea but across the globe. His Asia fan meeting tour, which spanned 12 shows in 8 cities—including Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo—was completely sold out, highlighting his growing international stardom.

Looking ahead, Byeon is set to star alongside IU in the upcoming drama 21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife (working title). Meanwhile, Kim Hye-yoon has confirmed her appearance in SBS’s new series Human From Today, co-starring Lomon.
Despite his busy schedule, Byeon Woo-seok recently surprised fans by posting previously unreleased behind-the-scenes photos on April 8 to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Lovely Runner. Along with the images, he included a caption that read, “April 8, Monday, 8:50 PM—First Broadcast.”
The post was a nostalgic nod to the drama’s original premiere and deeply moved fans, rekindling the excitement and affection that surrounded the series during its original run.
