Lisa's Breakthrough Moment!
BLACKPINK’s Lisa has opened up about her first-ever acting experience, marking a new chapter in her already global career. Lisa appeared in Season 3 of HBO’s hit series ‘The White Lotus’, which aired recently.

On April 8, Lisa shared heartfelt thoughts on her Instagram, reflecting on her time filming and expressing her gratitude.
“It was truly an incredible experience,” she wrote. “Thank you Mike White for trusting in me to fulfill the role of Mook and bring her character to life. It was the greatest honor to be part of this show as my first acting gig alongside such incredible actors. And I’m so proud to be able to share my culture and show the beauty of Thailand to the world. Mook has changed my life in a way where I am learning more about myself and my capabilities. My Sunday nights may feel a lot emptier but closing out The White Lotus with a full heart. ❤️”

Alongside the post, Lisa also shared behind-the-scenes photos from the set, gaining attention for her elegant appearance in traditional Thai attire, and even showing a fresh new look with her signature bangs swept back—a rare moment for fans used to her performance style.
According to entertainment outlet Variety, The White Lotus Season 3, which featured Lisa, recorded the highest viewership numbers of the series to date. The season finale drew 6.2 million viewers, surpassing the previous record of 4.8 million.
‘The White Lotus’ is a drama that unfolds over the course of a week at the luxurious and fictional White Lotus hotel, with each season set in a different exotic location. Season 1 was set in Hawaii, Season 2 in Sicily, Italy, and Season 3 was filmed in Thailand. As a Thai native, Lisa played the role of a hotel staff member, earning praise for her performance and for representing her culture on screen.

But Lisa’s 2025 hasn’t been about acting alone.

In February, she released her first full solo album, titled Alter Ego. In March, she made history by becoming the first K-pop artist to perform at the Academy Awards, taking the stage at the 97th Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Coming up, Lisa is set to perform solo at Coachella, further cementing her global presence. With BLACKPINK’s full-group concerts also on the horizon, Lisa continues to dominate both as a soloist and as part of the legendary K-pop group.
