From Earth to Stars: AI Meets Music!
Is the Earth not enough for G-Dragon? The global K-pop icon is now taking his music to outer space.

On April 9, G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation announced that the artist is embarking on a bold challenge: transmitting his music and an AI-powered music video into space. The video was created using Azure OpenAI’s “Sora”, developed by Microsoft, in collaboration with G-Dragon and KAIST.
Currently serving as an invited professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST, G-Dragon’s latest endeavor is expected to become a major milestone for the future of “Entertech”—a convergence of entertainment, AI, and space science.

The “G-Dragon Space Music Transmission Project” will take place at 8 PM on April 9 at the KAIST Satellite Research Center, co-hosted by KAIST and Galaxy Corporation. Far beyond just a musical event, this artistic experiment aims to preserve human culture in outer space and possibly even communicate with other civilizations.
What’s even more remarkable is that this project is connected to NASA’s SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) initiative. SETI once made history by sending music by the legendary British band The Beatles into space. G-Dragon’s project now marks South Korea’s first-ever SETI-linked music transmission to the cosmos.
In addition, G-Dragon will also hold a special talk show titled “The Future of AI Entertech” at the Innovate Korea 2025 event, taking place the same day at KAIST’s Ryu Geun-cheol Sports Complex. He is set to both speak and perform, raising anticipation among fans and the tech-entertainment world alike.

Galaxy Corporation has been actively collaborating with KAIST since last year, with plans to lead the future of the entertainment industry by fusing technology and artistry beyond time and space. The company also recently held a private roundtable with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, being the only Entertech company invited—signaling its ambitions for global expansion in AI-based entertainment.
On the production side, G-Dragon has taken on the role of music producer for MBC’s music variety show “Good Day,” working with 88z members like aespa, CL, BIGBANG, Im Si-wan, Jung Hae-in, Kwanghee, and Lee Soo-hyuk, along with top celebrities like Hwang Jung-min and chef Ahn Sung-jae.
Having recently wrapped up his first solo concerts in Korea in 8 years on March 20 and 29, G-Dragon is now heading overseas. According to Phase 1 of the G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR, the tour will kick off on May 10 and 11 in Tokyo, and then continue to Bulacan (Philippines), Osaka (Japan), Macau, Taiwan, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Jakarta (Indonesia), and Hong Kong—visiting 8 cities in 7 countries across Asia.
