Jun Hyun-moo publicly apologized after a tipsy live stream with BoA sparked backlash over comments about Park Na-rae, acknowledging his mistake and expressing regret.
Broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo has issued an apology for mentioning comedian Park Na-rae during a drunken live broadcast with singer BoA.
On April 9, Jun posted a statement on his Instagram, saying, “My official apology regarding last Saturday’s Instagram Live is overdue.”

He continued, “I immediately conveyed my apology to (Park) Na-rae after the broadcast for the unnecessary mention during the live,” and added, “I’d like to once again say sorry and thank you to Na-rae for understanding the situation despite how uncomfortable it must have been.”
Jun also acknowledged his wrongdoing, saying, “It was clearly inappropriate to mention someone publicly when they weren't present, and to carry out a live broadcast while intoxicated was also a mistake.” He added, “I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable because of this incident.”
He concluded by saying, “I will be more considerate and protective of the people I’m closest to,” and pledged to reflect on his actions.
Previously, on April 5, Jun Hyun-moo and BoA held a live broadcast on social media while drinking. During the stream, a viewer asked Jun, “Are you really dating Park Na-rae?” BoA replied, “I don’t think they are. I don’t think they can.” Jun reacted defensively, asking, “Why? Are you saying Park Na-rae isn’t good enough?” to which BoA responded, “You’re too good for her.” Jun then said, “Are you sure about saying that? This is being broadcast right now,” but BoA nonchalantly answered, “I don’t care.”
As controversy spread, BoA posted an apology on her fan community, Weverse, on April 7, stating, “I apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to my careless words and immature behavior during the April 5 SNS live.”
BoA added, “I personally apologized to Park Na-rae for making an inappropriate comment in her absence, and I’m grateful that she kindly accepted it.” She also expressed regret to her fans, saying, “I’m sorry for disappointing those who have supported me for so long despite my shortcomings.”
