A representative from Park Na-rae’s side clarified the situation to OSEN, stating,

"Park Na-rae is feeling unwell and, unfortunately, will not be able to attend today’s radio broadcast. There are no other reasons for her absence."

Earlier that day, the official MBC Standard FM account posted an update on ‘Son Tae-jin’s Trot Radio’, confirming Park Na-rae’s absence and apologizing to listeners:

"Due to personal reasons, Park Na-rae will not be appearing today. We apologize to all the listeners who were looking forward to her participation. Son Tae-jin will be with you for the next 2 hours, starting at 12:20."

Park Na-rae was scheduled to appear in the ‘Meeting Trot’ segment of the show, but just an hour before broadcast, the sudden announcement of her absence raised questions among fans and followers.

Park Na-rae’s absence has drawn even more attention given the recent controversy surrounding her name. The controversy erupted after BoA and Jun Hyun-moo's livestream on April 5, where a viewer asked if BoA and Park Na-rae were dating. BoA responded, saying, “I don’t think so,” and added, “He’s too good for her,” which led to a storm of backlash.

Afterward, BoA issued a public apology on social media, saying,
