“G-Dragon vs. Taeyang”: Why BIGBANG Daesung’s Pick Had Everyone Applauding

"What if both G-Dragon and Taeyang tried to set you up on a blind date—at the same time?"

That’s exactly the question BIGBANG’s Daesung was hit with during his guest appearance on episode 437 of 'My Little Old Boy', which aired April 6 on SBS.

Host Seo Jang-hoon playfully asked, “If both G-Dragon and Taeyang arranged blind dates on the same day at the same time, who would you choose?” Daesung paused and laughed, clearly torn, saying, “Wow, that’s a headache. I might go crazy. I’d have to decide based on the hyungs alone.” But eventually, he made his choice: “Still, I’d choose Taeyang, since he’s married.”

Daesung explained his reason: “Among the two, he has marriage experience. I believe getting married really changes the way you see the world.”

The studio burst into laughter and nods of agreement, prompting Daesung to ask, “Was that a wise answer to a silly question?”

The episode also revealed Daesung’s personal thoughts on marriage. He shared his desire to get married before turning 45 and even described his ideal type: “I’m not into flashy things or obsessed with material possessions, so I hope my partner isn’t either. I’d prefer someone simple and grounded over someone overly glamorous.” Then he cheekily added, “But of course, she still needs to meet my standards for appearance.”

Seo Jang-hoon summed it up with a laugh, saying, “So basically, you want someone who’s pretty but also frugal.”
