On March 31, Kim Soo-hyun held a surprise press conference to address allegations surrounding his past relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron, including accusations of dating her while she was a minor.

Kim denied the underage dating claims, stating:

He also announced he had filed a defamation lawsuit against individuals—including Sae-ron’s family, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, and members of Garo Sero Institute (Ga Se Yeon)—for spreading false information and causing reputational damage.

His legal team further revealed a 120 billion KRW ($88 million USD) damage claim had been submitted to the Seoul Central District Court.
