On April 3, her agency Sublime issued an official statement, saying, “To respond to crimes such as malicious slander, false rumors, and defamation targeting Seo Yea-ji, we formed a dedicated response team and filed our first criminal complaint with the Gangnam Police Station this past January.”

The agency added that one of the individuals accused of spreading false information—a former staff member—has already been forwarded to the prosecution on defamation charges, with several others whose identities have been confirmed also facing prosecution soon.

Sublime emphasized its no-tolerance stance. “We will continue to monitor online activity and take strong legal action against all criminal behavior directed at our artists. Under no circumstances will there be settlements or leniency. We will act firmly to protect our artist’s rights and reputation.”
