Jung Hae-in Draws Attention After Yim Si-wan’s Mass Unfollow Sparks ‘Kim Soo-hyun Unfollow’ Debate

Actor and singer Yim Si-wan has drawn attention after suddenly clearing out his entire following list on social media.

The move comes at a time when some celebrities are reportedly being pressured by fans to unfollow Kim Soo-hyun, who is currently embroiled in a controversy. Before the cleanup, Yim Si-wan had been following 87 accounts. However, he now follows only his agency, Plum A&C. Notably, Yim Si-wan had previously followed Kim Soo-hyun.

The two appeared together on the variety show Good Day, led by G-Dragon, as part of the close-knit “88z” line, and were known to share a friendly relationship. Since the controversy involving Kim Soo-hyun broke out, he has been completely edited out of that show’s footage.

Although Yim Si-wan has not officially commented on his social media update, many fans are interpreting the move as a precautionary measure to avoid potential backlash, calling it a “smart decision.” Others argue that such interpretations may be reading too much into the situation.

Meanwhile, actor Jung Hae-in, who still follows Kim Soo-hyun, has been caught in the crossfire. Opinions are divided—some say unfollowing is a fair and expected move, while others argue that even fans are crossing the line by demanding it.

Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference on March 31 to address the allegations surrounding his past relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron. Fighting back tears, he denied all claims, stating, “I did not have a relationship with her while she was underage. It is not true that my agency pressured her over debts, nor that I was in any way responsible for her tragic decision.”

However, the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute continues to release private materials and messages, insisting that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron had been romantically involved when she was still a minor.
