Following Jeonghan, Wonwoo Becomes the Second Member to Enlist
On April 3, SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo officially began his military service by entering a training center to receive basic training. After completing his training, he will serve as a social service worker as part of his alternative service.

His agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, previously shared the news:
“Wonwoo will begin fulfilling his military duty starting April 3. There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting his assigned service location. Please continue to show your love and support so that Wonwoo can serve diligently and return in good health.”
Right up until enlistment, Wonwoo made time to connect with fans. During SEVENTEEN’s “In CARAT Land” fan meeting held at Incheon Munhak Stadium on March 20–21, he said a heartfelt goodbye:
“I’ll go and come back well.”
Moments before, SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo also released a cover of the song TOMBOY (originally performed by Hyukoh) as a last gift to his fans before his enlistment.
Wonwoo also shared a touching message with fans on the Weverse fan platform:
“It feels like I just said I’d return when you can see your breath again—and now the weather’s already warming up. Please take good care of the other members, and look after your health, too. I’ll treat this short break like a pause in the sentence. Thank you always, and I love you so much. More music will be coming soon, so please keep listening.”
Previously, fellow SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan became the first to enlist, beginning his service on September 26, 2024, also as a social service worker. Now, Wonwoo becomes the second member of the group to fulfill his military duty.
Wonwoo’s expected discharge date is January 2, 2027.
