“It’s impossible to coerce actors into bed or nude scenes on set,” says Kim Soo-hyun’s agency.
Actor Kim Soo-hyun has issued an official response to allegations that bed scenes were forced during the filming of the movie Real.
On April 2, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency Gold Medalist released a formal statement addressing the issue, stating:
“Coercing an actor into performing bed or nude scenes on set is something that should never happen on any production.”
The controversy stems from recent claims made by the late Sulli's (Choi Jin-ri) older brother via social media. He implied that Sulli had been pressured during the making of Real.

Gold Medalist began their statement by expressing condolences:
“First and foremost, we wish peace for the late Choi Jin-ri.”
They went on to explain that the character Song Yoo-hwa, played by Sulli, was written with bed scenes from the script stage.
“The requirement for an actress comfortable with nudity was specified during casting. This was not something added after the fact, but a condition made clear beforehand.”
The agency emphasized that both Sulli and her then-agency SM Entertainment were fully informed and reviewed the script, character background, and the level of exposure before agreeing to the role. The contract also contained specific clauses regarding nudity.
Regarding the presence of another actor during bed scenes, the agency clarified:
“The person present was not a body double performing in Sulli’s place. They were a ‘stand-in’ used during technical preparations, not for acting.”
Gold Medalist also revealed they had attached written statements from the assistant director and script supervisor who were present during filming to verify this point.
The agency clearly distanced Kim Soo-hyun from the controversy:
“The script, storyboard, and direction were the responsibility of the production team. Kim Soo-hyun participated solely as an actor and had no involvement in those areas.”

Social Media Post That Sparked the Scandal
Sulli’s brother recently posted ambiguous but emotionally charged messages on social media, including:
“There’s so much I want to say, but I can’t,”
“You're going to fall from high up—hold on tight.”
These posts were interpreted by many as criticisms aimed at Kim Soo-hyun, sparking widespread speculation online.
He also questioned why Sulli had to film the bed scenes herself despite a stand-in being present and called for a full investigation.
In response, Gold Medalist stated:
“It’s understandable to be curious about things said at a funeral. However, revisiting events from six years ago and presenting unverified stories on social media as if personally experienced is something we cannot accept.”
They added:
“Unfounded speculation only hurts those who poured their passion into the making of Real. We urge people to stop spreading such assumptions.”
The agency concluded with a plea:
“Recently, unconfirmed rumors about Kim Soo-hyun have been circulating online. Please refrain from further speculation.”
Kim Soo-hyun’s Scandal with the Late Kim Sae-ron
This controversy comes in the wake of another scandal involving Kim Soo-hyun and the late actress Kim Sae-ron. Rumors of a romantic relationship between the two surfaced after Kim Sae-ron posted suggestive messages online implying betrayal and abandonment by someone close.
In response, Kim Soo-hyun held an emergency press conference on March 31 at Stanford Hotel in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Tearfully addressing the media, he admitted:
“It’s true that we dated after becoming adults. I can't claim to have done something I didn’t do.”
He firmly denied any romantic involvement while she was underage, directly addressing the public’s concerns.
