Seo Yea-ji's SNL Debut!
Actress Seo Yea-ji is set to appear as the host of 'SNL Korea Season 7', marking a bold and unexpected return to the spotlight.

Coupang Play announced on April 2 that Seo will headline the show’s second episode, scheduled to air on April 12.
SNL Korea, known for its sharp comedy and top-tier celebrity guests, is drawing major buzz with Seo’s upcoming appearance. While Seo has made rare variety show appearances in the past, she’s never stepped fully into comedy—until now. Viewers are already anticipating how she’ll surprise them with a completely new side of herself.
Through SNL Korea, Seo is taking on her first-ever full-scale comedy stage. Fans can expect a refreshingly bold transformation and a broader spectrum of charm from the actress, who previously went viral for her unexpected performance of BLACKPINK Jennie’s “Mantra” at her first solo fan meeting last December.

“I still can’t believe I’m hosting SNL Korea,” Seo shared. “It’s such an honor to be part of Korea’s top comedy show. I’m ready to give it everything I have to make you laugh.”
Seo Yea-ji’s appearance also comes at a time when she’s been clearing the air regarding past rumors involving actor Kim Soo-hyun. The two previously starred together in the hit drama 'It’s Okay to Not Be Okay', sparking speculative headlines about their relationship. Seo was also rumored to be dating Kim Soo-hyun’s cousin, who heads the agency Gold Medalist. However, she firmly denied all such claims via social media, stating clearly that she is not involved with either individual in any way. She was also embroiled in controversy in 2021 over allegations that she had gaslighted her ex-boyfriend, actor Kim Jung-hyun.
Given SNL Korea’s reputation for touching on edgy and sensitive topics, many are wondering whether the show will make any tongue-in-cheek references to these rumors during Seo’s appearance.
Either way, all eyes are on Seo Yea-ji’s big comedic debut—and whether this moment marks the beginning of a bold new chapter in her career.
