G-Dragon on Being Called an 'Instagram Like Bot': "I Just Tap What I Like"
BIGBANG member and solo artist G-Dragon (GD) has addressed his recent burst of Instagram activity, particularly his reputation for being a so-called “Like Bot.” Fans often trace the singer's activity on Instagram, namely two accounts: G-Dragon's official Instagram, 'xxxibgdrgn', as well as his second account, '8lO8lO8lOWME'.

On March 29, G-Dragon held his long-awaited G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch] IN KOREA at Goyang Sports Complex. The concert marked his first solo show in nearly eight years, since ACT III: M.O.T.T.E in 2017.

During the event, he opened up about his third full-length album Übermensch, saying:
“Yes, the album references Nietzsche, philosophy, and big ideas—it might seem deep, but really, it's just about pushing forward and staying committed. Some people treat me like a research subject, analyzing every move I make, every lyric, every gesture—but I’m grateful. They interpret it for me better than I could myself.”
When asked about his “Like Bot” nickname on Instagram—earned for frequently liking posts—he responded with humor:
“I didn’t even know what ‘bot’ meant at first. People think I’m running a program, but really, liking posts doesn’t take that long.”

He added, “Some say I’m addicted to social media 24/7—but I’m busy! I just pop in when I can, and when I see posts I’m tagged in, I like them because I genuinely enjoy them. There’s no ‘dislike’ button, right? Even if there were, I’d probably still hit ‘like.’ And hey—like my posts too! I just think... what’s good is good.”
The Übermensch World Tour marks G-Dragon’s official return to the stage, and demand has been sky-high. All 60,000 seats across two nights sold out immediately upon ticket release.
His March 30 show also experienced a delay due to poor weather conditions and began around 7:08 p.m., about 30 minutes late. After wrapping up his Korea concerts, G-Dragon will kick off the international leg of his tour.
According to the first wave of announced tour dates, G-Dragon will visit eight cities across seven countries in Asia, including:
Tokyo, Japan (May 10–11)
Bulacan, Philippines
Osaka, Japan
Macau, China
Taiwan
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Jakarta, Indonesia
Hong Kong
The king is back—and he's liking everything in sight.
