Unexpected Chemistry: A Heartwarming Drama Sensation
Actress Han Ji-min recently opened up about her perfect on-screen chemistry with Lee Jun-hyuk in the hit SBS drama 'Love Scout', even revealing the hilariously cute nickname she gave him.

On March 26, Han appeared on Allure Korea’s YouTube video “Now I Can Say It,” where she reflected on the success of the drama Love Scout, and her role as Kang Ji-yoon alongside Lee Jun-hyuk’s Yoo Eun-ho.
Introducing the series, Han said, “These days, viewers are drawn to fast-paced, intense thrillers, but Love Scout was a warm drama—there weren’t many villains, and conflicts weren’t extreme. I’m really grateful it received so much love.”

When asked about her co-star, Han affectionately said “To Kang Ji-yoon, Yoo Eun-ho is the perfect man. He’s the perfect person—the one who helps her grow.”
Though known for his more serious roles, Love Scout marked one of Lee Jun-hyuk’s rare ventures into romance. Han shared “He kept saying, ‘I’m really bad at this kind of stuff,’ and he’d get shy and a little clumsy during romantic scenes.”

Also came the nickname reveal Han Ji-min calls Lee Jun-hyuk. “His fans call him 'Milk Vanilla Angel',” she laughed. “But maybe we should update it to 'Nervous Milk Vanilla Angel (In Korean Milk Vadl-Vadl(K-word for Shaky) Angel)'—he was just that adorably awkward.”
Lee’s sweet awkwardness, especially in emotional scenes, left a strong impression on both fans and Han herself.
As SBS’s first Friday–Saturday drama of 2025, Love Scout broke into double-digit ratings within just three episodes, eventually soaring to a peak of 14%, and dominating in both buzz and brand reputation charts. It was praised as the “ultimate romance bible”, but also went beyond love stories to deliver emotional warmth for adult viewers.
“Through Eun-ho, Ji-yoon learned what warmth and gentleness truly mean,” Han reflected. “This drama was like a fairytale for grown-ups—and it resonated deeply with so many people.”

Both Han Ji-min and Lee Jun-hyuk are now preparing for new projects, but fans still hold out hope for a reunion of the beloved KangYoo couple on screen someday.
Meanwhile, Han has been publicly dating Choi Jung-hoon, the lead singer of the band Jannabi, who is 10 years younger than her.
