According to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, Jungkook's donation will be divided equally: ₩500 million will go toward emergency aid and supplies for wildfire victims who lost their homes.

The other ₩500 million will support firefighters, focusing on improving their working conditions and public awareness of their efforts.

Jungkook shared, "I hope this can provide even a small comfort to those going through such difficult times. I sincerely wish for the swift recovery of everyone affected by the wildfires, as well as those working tirelessly to contain them."

Hope Bridge Secretary-General Shin Hoon expressed gratitude, saying, "Jungkook's heartfelt support is deeply appreciated and will be a great source of comfort for victims. We’ll continue doing our best in field relief activities."

Hope Bridge is actively distributing over 440,000 relief items—including shelter dividers, blankets, food, and water—while also offering laundry support at shelters and meal services for firefighters and emergency crews.

This follows Jungkook’s 2023 donation of ₩1 billion to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital, which helped fund treatments for children from low-income families and support their integrated care center.

Wildfire Relief

As South Korea continues to battle and contain the devastating wildfires sweeping through regions like Sancheong, Uiseong, Andong, and Yeongdeok, authorities and volunteers are working tirelessly to protect lives, restore forests, and support displaced communities. While containment rates have surpassed 90% in many areas, changing wind conditions remain a threat, and full recovery will take time.

Amid this crisis, acts of generosity from celebrities and citizens alike have provided hope and momentum for relief efforts. For those looking to help, donations can be made through reputable organizations like the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (https://relief.or.kr) and the Korean Red Cross (https://www.redcross.or.kr). Every contribution helps support victims, firefighters, and the long road to healing and rebuilding.

While many celebrities have stepped up to support wildfire relief, public focus on donation amounts has sparked unnecessary criticism and comparisons. True giving isn’t measured by figures but by intent—and many donate quietly without seeking recognition. Rather than judging others, the most meaningful way to help is to contribute what we can ourselves, no matter how small.
