Karina's Spicy Culinary Secrets Revealed!
Karina of aespa has fans (and foodies) buzzing after revealing her go-to food pairings during a recent ad shoot.

On March 19, Coca-Cola’s official YouTube channel released a video titled “Karina’s Spicy Interview,” giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at her Sprite commercial shoot. The interview — short, sweet, and hilariously spicy — offered a peek into Karina’s much-loved “food philosophy.”
Known among aespa members and fans alike as the group’s ultimate “flavor guru,” Karina has built a reputation for her discerning taste and frequently shares her favorite meals and food pics. In the new video, she proudly declared her love for all things spicy and named Sprite as her ultimate drink of choice when eating heat-packed dishes — citing the crisp, refreshing carbonation as the perfect match.

When asked for her top spicy food picks to pair with Sprite, Karina didn’t hesitate: spicy ramyeon, tteokbokki, and sweet-and-spicy Korean fried chicken (dakgangjeong). Her confident picks had fellow "spicy food lovers" cheering in agreement.

Karina’s playful side was also on full display. When asked about people who don’t pair spicy food with carbonated drinks, she jokingly fired back with the now-viral meme: “Who even are you?” True to her meme queen reputation, she used the “Who Made This?” meme format to describe how perfect the pairing of spice and fizz truly is — drawing plenty of laughs from fans.
From squinting dramatically after taking a sip of soda to playfully tossing ice cubes and celebrating the director’s “OK” cue with childlike glee, Karina’s signature jangkku (playful troublemaker) moments shone through the entire shoot.
The video has since gone viral, with viewers praising both her sparkling personality and spicy-food passion.
You can catch Karina’s full interview now on Coca-Cola’s official YouTube and Instagram channels.
