On March 23, a representative from SBS confirmed that Choi and her fiancé will appear together on the March 31 episode of the reality program ‘You Are My Destiny 2’. The couple is expected to share the story behind their decision to get married, as well as their wedding preparations.

Choi first revealed she was in a relationship during an appearance on SBS's variety show ‘Dolsing Fourmen’ in August 2023. At the time, she shared that her boyfriend is seven years older and not a public figure. She described him as someone in the seasonal sports and fitness business, adding, “He’s the complete opposite of me in terms of looks—and even shorter than me. But the more time I spent with him, the more I realized how genuine he is.”

She also revealed that he is divorced, stating candidly, “What I want to say is—he’s been through it once.”

Choi Yeo-jin made her debut in 2001 through the SBS Supermodel Contest, and began her acting career with the 2004 hit drama ‘I’m Sorry, I Love You’. She went on to appear in several popular dramas, including ‘Surgeon Bong Dal-hee’ (2007) and tvN’s ‘Emergency Couple’ (2014).

Earlier this year, she made a special appearance with her boyfriend on comedian Kim Sook’s YouTube channel Kim Sook TV. During the episode, Kim jokingly said, “There’s a rumor that he’s rich—like the son of a big business group.” Actor Kim Sung-beom added, “There’s even a rumor that half of Gapyeong belongs to him.” In response, Choi’s boyfriend laughed and replied, “I’m rich… in debt.”

Choi’s fiancé is known to be a sports entrepreneur and previously appeared on tvN’s ‘On and Off’ in 2020 as a water skiing coach during a segment featuring Choi’s daily life. She later opened up on ‘Dolsing Fourmen’, saying, “I decided to go public with our relationship because I really want to walk this path with him.” She described him again as someone who works in seasonal sports and has been a close friend for a long time, noting that he had previously gone through a marriage.

Choi has also spoken openly about her family life. In a past broadcast, she shared that her mother had remarried a man eight years her junior. “My stepdad is technically younger, but even after 60, he still feels like a younger man,” she said with a smile. “He has a playful side. I saw my mom go through so much growing up without my dad around, so I always encouraged her to find love again. Now that she’s happy, I feel at peace too.”

With her candid charm and heartfelt storytelling, Choi Yeo-jin continues to connect with fans—not just as an actress, but as someone navigating love, family, and life in the public eye.
