Will Son Dam-bi’s Baby Look Like Mom or Dad? The Star Reveals as Heechul Reacts

Singer and soon-to-be mom Son Dam-bi gave fans a heartwarming (and hilarious) glimpse of her growing family on the March 23 episode of SBS’s My Little Old Boy, including an AI-generated image of what her baby girl might look like.

In the episode, Kim Hee-chul paid a visit to Dam-bi’s home, bringing gifts and flowers ahead of her April due date. Seeing her baby bump in person, he was overwhelmed, saying, “It’s been 23 years since we met—this feels unreal. I’m going to cry.”

Dam-bi, now in her 40s, opened up about her pregnancy journey, revealing that she conceived via IVF (in vitro fertilization). “I was lucky—it only took me two tries. The first didn’t work because I was underweight. But after gaining some weight, it succeeded. It felt like a blessing,” she said. Her husband Lee Kyu-hyuk was so moved he nearly cried, and her mother was reportedly overjoyed.

Dam-bi also shared that she’s having a baby girl, whose nickname is "Ddabbong". She joked that her daughter seems to resemble her husband more than her, based on recent 3D ultrasound images. “The doctor said, ‘I don’t see much of Dam-bi’s face, but a lot of your husband’s,’” she laughed. Lee responded, “Of course she looks like me—she’s my daughter!”

Kim Hee-chul burst out laughing after seeing the ultrasound, saying, “She’s literally your clone!” Lee then showed an AI-generated video made from the ultrasound photos—featuring a smiling baby that strongly resembled him.

Hee-chul asked who they hoped the baby would take after personality-wise. Without hesitation, Dam-bi pointed at Lee Kyu-hyuk. “Yeah, I agree,” Hee-chul quipped. “Definitely not your personality.”

When it came to parenting styles, Dam-bi said she’d take on the strict role while Lee plans to be more like a friend.

Hee-chul also brought thoughtful baby gifts, including bunny plushies, a dad-themed bottle, and a special recording of Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry” reworked into a lullaby.

The wholesome episode gave fans an intimate look at Dam-bi and Lee’s soon-to-be family of three—with lots of laughs, love, and an adorable sneak peek at their little one.
