Following the report, her agency Ace Factory confirmed the news, stating:

"Lee Si-young and Mr. Cho have mutually agreed to divorce and are proceeding with the necessary legal steps. As this is a private matter, we kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot provide further details."

Lee Si-young made her acting debut in 2008 with Hometown Legends: Déjà Vu Season 3 and gained recognition through dramas like Boys Over Flowers (2009) and variety shows like We Got Married. More recently, she starred in Netflix's Sweet Home (2020–2024) series, solidifying her status as a versatile actress.

The actress married Mr. Cho, a businessman nine years her senior, in 2017, and the couple has one son. Recently, she made headlines by attempting to climb Mount Everest with her child.

Mr. Cho is known as a successful restaurateur who built a thriving franchise business. Over the years, Lee Si-young has openly shared glimpses of her family life, including her son, on variety shows like I Live Alone and The Manager, portraying a happy marriage.
