Following the announcement of an official statement next week, Gaseyeon demands a sincere apology to Kim Sae-ron’s family.
Despite mounting controversy surrounding allegations that he was in a past relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor, actor Kim Soo-hyun proceeded with filming for MBC’s variety show Good Day. His decision to show up on set, despite growing public criticism and calls for his removal, has sparked further debate.
Adding to the intrigue, fellow Good Day cast member G-Dragon recently found himself caught in the controversy after liking—and later unliking—a social media poll about Kim Soo-hyun’s possible departure from the show.

A Good Day representative told News1 on March 13, “The scheduled filming was carried out with a minimized agenda.” However, when asked about the possibility of Kim Soo-hyun stepping down from the show, they did not provide a statement.
Kim Soo-hyun, along with G-Dragon, Jung Hae-in, and Im Si-wan, is part of the ’88-line cast on Good Day, a show that has now become overshadowed by the ongoing scandal. The controversy stems from claims made by Kim Sae-ron’s family through the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon), alleging that she was in a six-year relationship with Kim Soo-hyun starting in 2016 when she was 15.
G-Dragon’s Controversial Social Media Activity
As Good Day faces mounting public scrutiny over Kim Soo-hyun’s continued participation, G-Dragon unexpectedly became part of the conversation when he interacted with a social media post regarding the controversy. The post featured a poll asking whether Kim Soo-hyun should leave the show, and G-Dragon initially liked it before later removing his like. This move immediately sparked speculation among fans and netizens about whether G-Dragon was taking a stance on the issue—or simply acting without realizing the implications.

In response to the allegations, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, released a statement on March 10, firmly denying the claims as “completely false” and stating that they are considering “the strongest possible legal action” against Gaseyeon. However, the controversy intensified on March 12 when Gaseyeon released what they claim is further evidence, including a handwritten letter allegedly sent by Kim Soo-hyun to Kim Sae-ron during his military service, as well as a photo of him kissing her on the cheek.
The scandal has led to a surge of viewer complaints on Good Day's online message board, with many demanding Kim Soo-hyun’s removal from the show. The production team has yet to make a decision on his status.
Despite the growing backlash, Gold Medalist remained silent after its initial response. Then, on the morning of March 13, the agency issued another statement, saying, “To correct misinformation and respond to baseless rumors, we will release an official statement next week with clear evidence.” The decision to delay the statement has only added to the anticipation surrounding the case.
G-Dragon and Kim Soo-hyun Moving Forward
While G-Dragon has remained silent about his brief social media activity regarding Kim Soo-hyun, his involvement in Good Day means he remains indirectly linked to the ongoing controversy. Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun’s decision to proceed with filming suggests a strategy of pushing forward rather than retreating amid public scrutiny.
However, Gaseyeon is not backing down. On March 13, they issued a statement on their YouTube community page, saying, “We are waiting for a sincere public apology to Kim Sae-ron’s family. If he continues to deny or make excuses, we will release three explosive photos and a video that will be far more shocking than anything revealed so far.”
With Good Day now at the center of an intensifying public debate and G-Dragon’s name unexpectedly dragged into the situation, all eyes are on how both Kim Soo-hyun and his agency will respond next week.
G-Dragon’s Ongoing Übermensch Promotions Amid Controversy
Despite the surrounding controversy involving Good Day and Kim Soo-hyun, G-Dragon remains focused on his solo comeback, actively promoting his upcoming album Übermensch. His latest promotional event, G-DRAGON Media Exhibition: Übermensch, is currently being held at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, offering fans an immersive experience into his creative vision.
The exhibition features exclusive previews of his new music, conceptual artwork, and behind-the-scenes content that highlights the artistic direction of Übermensch. This marks a key moment in G-Dragon’s return to the music scene, following years of anticipation for his solo work.
As he balances album promotions with ongoing discussions about Good Day, G-Dragon’s activities suggest a strong push toward solidifying his artistic presence while navigating public scrutiny. With Übermensch expected to drop soon, all eyes are on how he continues to shape his comeback narrative.
