Singer Wheesung was found dead at his residence in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on March 10. There were no signs of foul play, and the National Forensic Service conducted an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

On March 12, his agency announced that the autopsy had been completed and that funeral arrangements would proceed accordingly. Initially, the family planned a private ceremony, but they later decided to hold a memorial service open to those who wished to pay their respects.

Wheesung’s younger brother shared, "He always carried deep loneliness, finding solace and expression through music," and invited fans to join in remembering him.

His wake will be held at Samsung Medical Center’s funeral hall from March 14, with the burial set for March 16 at Gwangneung Memorial Park.
