The controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo-hyun continues to escalate, leading to calls for his removal from MBC’s variety show 'Good Day'.

Although Kim’s agency has strongly denied the accusations made by the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon), dismissing them as “false information,” additional revelations from the channel have kept the controversy alive.

On March 12, a post titled “KSH should step down” appeared on Good Day’s viewer bulletin board, with the writer stating, “GD oppa is on a variety show, but what’s with KSH’s controversy? He should voluntarily leave.” While the post did not explicitly name Kim, he is the only cast member whose initials match the cryptic reference.

Impact on ‘Knock-Off’ and Kim’s Future Projects

The controversy is also casting a shadow over Kim’s upcoming Disney+ drama 'Knock-Off'. With Season 1 nearing its release and Season 2 already in the final stages of production, concerns are rising that the ongoing scandal could negatively affect the series.

As of now, MBC has not issued an official statement regarding Kim Soo-hyun’s status on Good Day.

Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has released an official response regarding the allegations:

“The claims made by Garo Sero Institute regarding Kim Soo-hyun on their YouTube broadcast are entirely false. They alleged that our company and Kim Soo-hyun conspired with YouTuber Lee Jin-ho to harass the late actress Kim Sae-ron, that Kim Soo-hyun was in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron from the age of 15, that our agency mishandled her DUI incident, and that our managers have a personal connection with Lee Jin-ho. These are all baseless accusations that we absolutely cannot tolerate. We are currently reviewing the strongest possible legal actions against Garo Sero Institute for spreading false information.”

The agency also expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Kim Sae-ron, stating, “We mourn the tragic loss of our former artist. However, Garo Sero Institute is exploiting her death for their own gain, tarnishing not only our agency but also the reputation of the deceased. Their actions mirror the very ‘cyber wreckers’ that caused her so much pain during her lifetime. We will take firm action against this.”

Gold Medalist urged the public to refrain from spreading or amplifying groundless rumors and stated their commitment to protecting their artist’s reputation through legal measures.
