Despite Tensions Between One Hundred Label and KBS, Filming Resumes for the Web Variety Show
Despite recent tensions between One Hundred Label and KBS, THE BOYZ’s Hyunjae is set to participate in next week’s recording of singer Lee Mu-jin’s web variety show, Leemujin Service.
According to News1 on March 11, Hyunjae has been confirmed as a guest for the upcoming episode. This comes after both Lee Mu-jin and Hyunjae missed the show’s previous recording on March 5, following the ongoing dispute between their respective agencies—One Hundred Label (THE BOYZ’s agency) and its subsidiary Big Planet Made Entertainment (Limujin’s agency)—and KBS.

Now, with Lee Mu-jin officially returning to Leemujin Service, Hyunjae’s appearance has also been rescheduled, signaling a step toward normalcy.
The One Hundred Label vs. KBS Dispute
The controversy began when One Hundred Label alleged that another artist under its sub-label INB100, EXO’s Xiumin, was unfairly prevented from appearing on KBS2’s Music Bank on March 4. The agency claimed that KBS blocked Xiumin’s appearance for reasons that were “unacceptable” and accused the public broadcaster of favoritism, stating, “KBS has made an unfair decision by siding with a particular agency.”
In response, KBS denied the claims, asserting that they were “groundless” and that the production team was still in communication with Xiumin’s agency. However, tensions escalated when comedian Lee Soo-geun and Limujin later skipped their scheduled KBS recordings, further fueling speculation of a deepening rift.

On March 8, One Hundred Label addressed the situation again, referencing the 2025 KBS Spring New Variety Program Briefing held on March 7. They quoted KBS Entertainment Center Director Han Kyung-chun, who reportedly stated, “This is an issue of communication between the production team and the agency. We are waiting for Lee Mujin, and we have no plans to replace him as MC. If we continue communicating, a good opportunity will arise.”

Following this, One Hundred Label announced its decision to resume normal activities with KBS, including upcoming recordings for Lee Soo-geun and Lee Mujin. However, the agency remained firm on its stance regarding Xiumin’s Music Bank appearance, stating, “We were only given an informal response that Xiumin could not appear due to ‘incompatibility with another artist from a specific agency.’ We believe this is an unfair decision and have made repeated efforts to communicate, but KBS has only issued a vague public statement denying the claims. We are still awaiting an official explanation from KBS regarding Xiumin’s exclusion from Music Bank.”
With Hyunjae’s participation in Lee Mu-jin Service confirmed, fans are closely watching whether this signals a resolution between One Hundred Label and KBS—or if tensions will persist.
