Dark Transformation: A Genius Surgeon's Moral Descent.
Anticipation has been building for 'Hyper Knife', a medical thriller that has caught the industry’s attention even before its release, thanks to the drastic transformations of its lead actors.

On March 8, Walt Disney Company Korea dropped the official main trailer for the highly awaited Disney+ original series Hyper Knife, starring Park Eun-bin and Sol Kyung-gu.
A Deadly Reunion Between Mentor and Protégé
Hyper Knife follows Jung Se-ok (Park Eun-bin), a once-promising genius surgeon, who crosses paths again with her former mentor, Choi Deok-hee (Sol Kyung-gu)—the man responsible for her downfall. Their twisted relationship sets off a high-stakes battle of trust and betrayal.

The trailer opens with Deok-hee’s chilling question: "If the surgery was illegal, how far along is the investigation?" From there, the tension skyrockets as Se-ok is seen murdering someone who tried to blackmail her over an illegal procedure. Meanwhile, police intensify their hunt for the culprit, and Deok-hee becomes convinced that Se-ok is behind it all.
In a shocking twist, the mentor who once ruined Se-ok’s life now asks her to save his own, saying: "I can’t operate on myself, can I?"
Striking Posters Tease the Psychological Battle
The newly released poster deepens the intrigue, showing Se-ok and Deok-hee in mirrored poses—one in an underground illegal surgery room, the other in a prestigious university hospital operating theater. The tagline reads: "The more I see you, the more we look alike—even the madness." This eerie message foreshadows the dark and entangled fates of the two characters. To promote the drama, Park Eun-bin appeared on the popular YouTube channel 'Channel Fullmoon' on March 5, discussing her character Se-ok.

"This role is the complete opposite of anything I’ve done before," she shared. "I always try to create something new with my characters. Rather than looking for similarities to myself, I approach them with the mindset of, ‘There are people like this in the world.’”
She reassured viewers that while the drama is multi-layered and intense, it won’t be overly complicated or heavy with dialogue.
Park Eun-bin’s shocking transformation into a villainous role in Hyper Knife has already created massive buzz, marking a stark contrast from her previous characters. Even before its release, the drama has sent fans into a frenzy, with the trailer alone sparking intense reactions. Viewers expressed their excitement and shock, with comments like “I got chills watching this trailer” and “Park Eun-bin’s first villain role? This is going to be insane.”
Some were left completely speechless, admitting, “I was so shocked, I couldn’t close my mouth,” while others marveled at her drastic transformation, saying, “The Woo Young-woo I knew is completely gone.” The anticipation is so high that many have already subscribed to Disney+ just for this drama, with fans eagerly awaiting its premiere, declaring, “I NEED to know how this ends.”
Hyper Knife is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on March 19. With its gripping plot, powerhouse performances, and an unpredictable battle of wits, this is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most talked-about thrillers.
