On March 9, the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jaehyung(Yo-Jung-Jae-Hyung)' released a video titled "Jennie’s Untold Story", featuring the BLACKPINK member as a guest.

During the conversation with host Jung Jae-hyung, Jennie reflected on her journey from debut to international superstardom, discussing challenges she had never openly shared before. While many admire her life, she offered a surprisingly honest response when asked, “Don’t people often say they want to live like Jennie?”

"No. Trust Me, You Don’t," she said without hesitation. "I only want to live this life once. There’s so much to endure."

The Harsh Reality Behind BLACKPINK’s Success

Jennie didn’t hold back as she spoke candidly about the toll of her relentless schedule. "When I was promoting with BLACKPINK, there were times when I was unbelievably busy," she admitted. "I’ve lived this way for so long, and even I feel bad for myself. I want to do everything, and I manage to keep up, but that doesn’t mean I’m healthy."

She revealed the extreme demands of her global career, recalling how she barely spent time in Korea last year. "I counted, and I think I was only in Korea for about three months. That’s a lot considering my usual schedule," she said. Constantly hopping between countries, she noted that even jet lag stopped affecting her, but her body eventually reached its limits at some point and took time to recover.

Jennie’s Trainee Days: A Cutthroat Survival System

Beyond her current struggles, Jennie also opened up about her intense trainee years at YG Entertainment. Training from the age of 15 to 21, she described the relentless evaluation system, which often determined who would stay and who would be forced to leave.

"It wasn’t as simple as getting a '70 out of 100' on a test. Every evaluation meant losing friends," she recalled. Instead of learning love and warmth like most teenagers, she learned competition. "If that person doesn’t go, then I have to go," she explained. Watching close friends leave was heartbreaking, but she quickly wiped away her tears and kept going—because she had one goal in mind: "I was determined to debut no matter what."
