One user claimed they saw Seungri on March 5 dining at a popular pork soup ("ppyeo haejangguk") restaurant in Songpa, Seoul, noting he was "eating stealthily with a beautiful woman."

The same netizen added that when the restaurant owner approached Seungri for an autograph, he abruptly left after just two bites.

This sighting quickly gained traction online, prompting another witness to come forward. According to this second observer, Seungri was spotted at another pork soup restaurant in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, where he reportedly sat in a curtained private area. Although several diners recognized him, most pretended not to notice.

Seungri previously made headlines as a central figure in the 2019 Burning Sun scandal, eventually leaving BIGBANG. In 2022, he received a final sentence of 18 months imprisonment from South Korea's Supreme Court and was released upon completing his sentence in February 2023.

Since his release, Seungri has remained largely absent from the Korean entertainment scene but has been frequently spotted overseas, including at clubs in Cambodia and Indonesia—fueling controversy and keeping public curiosity about his activities alive.
