99 Days to Go—BTS’s V Opens Up About His Military Life & K-Drama of Choice!

BTS’s V gave fans a glimpse into his life in the military as he approaches his discharge in 99 days. On March 3, V took to Weverse, sharing a personal update with ARMY.

"It snowed. I cleared the snow. I had a snowball fight. I’m good at snowball fights," he wrote, offering a lighthearted look into his daily routine. He then shared an update on his rank, saying, "I’ve been promoted to Sergeant, Level 2(second in seniority). I’m now second in rank here. Soon, I’ll be No.1."

V also revealed an achievement during his service, saying, "Recently, I became a special-class soldier. I’ve been working out a lot. I pushed myself so hard that I dislocated a rib once, but it’s back in place now."

Discussing his current lifestyle, he noted, "I’m on a diet—I weigh 70kg now. I’ve been reading a lot. Ina gave me so many books, but there are too many to finish." He also mentioned a change in his sleep habits, adding, "I don’t have insomnia here. The moment I lie down, I knock out. But waking up in the morning is still something I can’t get used to."

V didn’t forget to express how much he misses ARMY, sharing, "I miss ARMY a lot, so I watch concert videos often. I want to dance. I want to sing."

He also shared a fun moment with a fellow soldier, revealing, "One of my juniors asked me to show him the choreography for 'Black Swan' because he learned the whole thing. But I had to admit… I forgot it."

V also talked about what he’s been watching recently, saying, "These days, I’m watching K-drama 'Buried Hearts'. Park Hyung-sik looks really cool in it. I also watched 'I Live Alone' with Jung Ho-seok(J-hope). I’m a proud fan of him."

Closing out his update, he expressed regret over missing BTS’s upcoming concert, saying, "It’s disappointing that I can’t attend the concert. It would have been a chance to see ARMY." However, he wrapped things up on a heartfelt note, saying, "Anyway, I miss you. I love you."

V enlisted as an active-duty soldier and is currently serving in the Special Mission Unit of the Military Police (SDT). His expected discharge date is June 10, 2025.
