Two Actors Rekindle Their Past Connection in the Upcoming Romance K-Drama

Set to debut in April, the series is based on a hit Kakao Webtoon that has amassed 170 million views.

The teaser for MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Crushology 101 (Bunny and Her Boys)—scheduled to air in the first half of the year—has been released. The drama tells the story of Bani (portrayed by Roh Jeong-eui), who, after a disastrous first romance that became a dark chapter in her past, unexpectedly finds herself entangled with a group of charming men.

Based on the popular Kakao Webtoon of the same name, which has racked up a total of 170 million views, the series features rising high-teen stars including Roh Jeong-eui, Lee Chae-min, Jo Joon-young, Kim Hyun-jin, and Hong Min-gi, who are expected to bring a refreshing burst of youthful energy. The two actors, Roh Jeong-eui and Lee Chae-min gained notoriety in the highly popular Netflix series Hierarchy. The two have been cast again in a youth romance series, creating a lot of buzz.

On the 25th, the MBCdrama YouTube channel uploaded a teaser titled “ Roh Jeong-eui ♥, the Guys Have Started to Fall for You.” The video opens with Bani, notebook in hand, boarding an elevator on the Yein University campus at the start of the new semester. As the elevator doors open, Hwang Jae-yeol (played by Lee Chae-min) hurriedly appears, followed by Cha Ji-won (Jo Jun-young), Jo Ah-rang (Kim Hyun-jin), and Jin Hyun-oh (Hong Min-gi).

The teaser continues with the phrase “The men in my life have started to fall for me,” as tender glances exchanged among the men in the cramped elevator make viewers’ hearts flutter. Anticipation is mounting for Bani’s campus life alongside these attractive young men.

Earlier on the 6th, behind-the-scenes footage of the drama’s script reading was released. The session featured director Kim Ji-hoon, writers Sung So-eun and Lee Seul, and the main cast—including Roh Jeong-eui and Lee Chae-min—who gathered for an energetic round of self-introductions in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Roh Jeong-eui, cast as Bunny—the top student from Yein University’s Department of Fine Arts—led the script reading with lively energy, charming everyone with his unique interpretation of the character. The actress is currently gaining attention for her role in Channel A's The Witch. Lee Chae-min, portraying Hwang Jae-yeol, the head of the Department of Visual Design, conveyed his character’s tough exterior yet tender inner nature through a blend of a brusque tone and gentle eyes. In the drama, Hwang Jae-yeol is a student admired by seniors, juniors, and peers alike for his dignified voice.

Jo Joon-young, playing Cha Ji-won—a wealthy heir with an impressive combination of looks and talent—demonstrated delightful on-screen chemistry with Roh Jeong-eui. His playful banter and affectionate glances toward Bani perfectly captured his character’s charm. The intertwined relationships among the characters played by Roh Jeong-eui, Lee Chae-min, and Jo Jun-young add vibrant energy to the drama.

Crushology 101 (Bunny and Her Boys) is set to premiere in April.
