On February 23, BTS’s V took to Instagram to share an update on his military service, posting a photo with the caption, “Sergeant Kim reporting for duty. D-107.”

V also reassured fans, writing, “A harsh winter has passed, and as spring approaches, I’ll return safely and in good health.”

In the newly shared photos, V looks noticeably more robust than before his enlistment. His toned, muscular physique has drawn particular attention, reflecting the "bulk-up" transformation he had previously announced before joining the military. His broader shoulders and defined build have thrilled fans, who had anticipated this change.

One of the photos also features V wearing a Special Forces combat uniform, exuding charisma and discipline. His strong gaze and commanding presence highlight his dedication to military service, further impressing fans.

With around 100 days left until his discharge, V is gradually preparing to reconnect with fans. Following in the footsteps of Jin and j-hope, who have already completed their service and resumed activities—including solo projects, world tours, collaborations with international artists, and variety show appearances—anticipation is high for V’s return to the entertainment scene.

V, who enlisted in December 2023, is scheduled to be discharged on June 10, 2024.
