On February 19, Kino took to Instagram to share his heartbreak, writing, "In the past two years, I’ve had to say goodbye to two beloved friends at the same funeral hall. Sae-ron must have missed Moon Bin a lot." His message conveyed deep sorrow over their untimely passings.

Kim Sae-ron and Moonbin were known to be friends, and following Moonbin’s sudden passing last year, Kim Sae-ron had shared a heartfelt tribute mourning his loss. Now, having lost another close friend, Kino revealed his emotional struggle: "I barely slept for two days, but I still can’t fall asleep. At least so many people came to her final farewell, and I hope that brought some comfort to her family."

He also raised concerns about the relentless scrutiny that public figures endure, saying, "Just because we are celebrities doesn’t mean we should be subjected to baseless speculation, exaggerated rumors, or merciless criticism. I sincerely hope tragedies like this do not keep repeating."

Kim Sae-ron had largely withdrawn from the entertainment industry following her DUI incident in May 2022. Kino ended his tribute with a heartfelt farewell: "Be happier there. You’ve been through so much."

Friends and Colleagues Pay Tribute

Actress Lee Young-yoo, a former member of the childhood idol group 7 Princesses and one of Kim Sae-ron’s closest friends, also shared her grief on social media. She posted old photos of them together, writing, "My eternal husband, my heart, my other half, my everything, my Ron. My life was so much brighter and more colorful because you were in it."

Kim Sae-ron’s funeral was attended by many fellow actors and celebrities who came to pay their final respects, including actor Won Bin, who has rarely made public appearances in the past 15 years. Other close friends such as actresses Kim Bo-ra, Han So-hee, and AKMU’s Lee Su-hyun were also present to bid her farewell. The funeral was held privately on February 19, and she was laid to rest at Paju Tongil-ro Memorial Park.

Kim Sae-ron was found at her home in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, on February 16 at 4:54 PM. Authorities ruled out any signs of external intrusion or foul play, and no suicide note was found at the scene. She was 25 years old.

Kim Sae-ron first entered the entertainment industry as a baby model in 2001 and made her breakthrough in the 2009 film 'A Brand New Life', becoming the youngest Korean actress to attend the Cannes Film Festival. She gained mainstream recognition in 2010 for her role in 'The Man from Nowhere' alongside Won Bin and later showcased her depth as an actress in 'A Girl at My Door', 'Manhole', 'Snowy Road', and 'The Villagers'.

Her passing marks a devastating loss for the Korean entertainment industry, leaving fans and colleagues mourning yet another bright star gone too soon.
