Currently riding high on the success of her Coupang Play drama ‘Newtopia’, which has been earning positive reviews, Jisoo recently dropped her first solo mini-album ‘Amour Taju’ on February 14, gaining significant traction. She arrived at the KBS studio looking effortlessly chic in a gray knit shirt, a white vest, and jeans, greeting reporters and fans with her signature warm smile.

Park Myung-soo, who shares a close friendship with Jisoo, praised her natural beauty, saying, “You look so pretty today, and I love how natural your makeup is. Thank you for coming on my show.”

Jisoo, now operating as a solo artist and CEO of her own label, shared how she has been busy preparing for her comeback. When the topic of challenge trends in today’s music industry came up, she revealed an unexpected side of herself.

These days, it’s common for idols to film dance challenges supporting fellow artists, often exchanging requests. But Jisoo admitted, “I just can’t bring myself to ask people to do challenges for me.” She continued, “When I went to ‘Inkigayo,’ there were so many artists, and I thought about asking... but I just couldn’t.” Her unexpected shyness amused listeners.

She did, however, manage to film challenges with her closest friends, humorously adding, “The few who did it with me are my real besties. But honestly, there’s no one left to do it with me.” She even taught Park Myung-soo some moves from her title track ‘Earthquake’, bringing laughter to the studio.

BLACKPINK’s Support and Jisoo’s Thoughts on English

Despite going solo, Jisoo emphasized that she still feels the strong support of her BLACKPINK members. She revealed, “I really wanted my members to do the challenge the most.” While Rosé participated and filmed one for her, she shared her disappointment that Lisa and Jennie couldn’t join in, as they were overseas at the time. When Park Myung-soo jokingly asked if her English had improved, Jisoo firmly responded, “NO.” Her blunt honesty drew laughter, but she quickly added, “I’m doing my best to communicate. But honestly, the other members are so good at it, so I rely on them a lot.”
