Park Eun-bin is set to return with a never-before-seen side of herself in the upcoming Disney+ original series 'Hyper Knife'.

Premiering on March 19, Hyper Knife is a gripping medical thriller that follows the intense showdown between Se-ok, a once-promising genius doctor, and Deok-hee, the mentor who led to her downfall. Park, who captivated audiences worldwide as the brilliant yet socially challenged attorney Woo Young-woo in 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo', is now taking on a role that is a complete 180-degree shift.
Her transformative performance as shadow doctor Jeong Se-ok—once a prodigy obsessed with neurosurgery, now stripped of her medical license and forced to work in the shadows—has already piqued industry curiosity. Opposite her, veteran actor Sol Kyung-gu plays Choi Deok-hee, the former mentor who turned her life upside down, setting the stage for a fierce battle.

The newly released stills showcase Park’s dramatic transformation—clad in bloodstained surgical scrubs, intensely focused during surgery, radiating sharp determination, and even breaking down in uncontrollable sobs. These images hint at the multidimensional complexity of Jeong Se-ok, a character balancing genius, desperation, and obsession. Park’s meticulous portrayal of a doctor teetering on the edge of madness suggests another career-defining performance in the making.

Director Kim Jung-hyun praised Park’s ability to fully embody Se-ok, saying, “She has completely shattered expectations, delivering a version of herself that audiences have never seen before.” Sol Kyung-gu, equally impressed, added, “I was intrigued by the idea of Park Eun-bin in this kind of role. Her decision to join the project played a huge part in why I took it on.”

Reflecting on the role, Park shared, “The character’s setup and narrative were fascinating. Se-ok is incredibly complex inside and out, and I was eager to explore that.”

Hyper Knife premieres on Disney+ on March 19.
