Unlike traditional music programs, ‘The Seasons’ follows a year-round format, divided into four seasons, with each led by a different MC. This groundbreaking concept has made it one of the most talked-about season-based music shows, featuring hosts who bring their own distinctive style and artistic influence to the program.
The show kicked off with Jay Park as the inaugural MC of ‘The Seasons: Jay Park’s Drive’, setting the tone with his unfiltered energy and laid-back vibe. His tenure successfully established ‘The Seasons’ as a fresh and trend-forward program within the KBS late-night music show legacy, which has spanned over 30 years.

Following Jay Park, Choi Jung-hoon, the lead vocalist of indie band Jannabi, took over as the second host, bringing his signature artistic sensibility to the stage. The show then continued with AKMU (‘Onal-Obam’), Lee Hyori (‘Red Carpet’), and Zico (‘Artist’)—each adding their own unique musical perspective to the series.
The current season has been hosted by rapper Lee Young-ji since September 2024, but her time as MC will conclude with the final broadcast on February 21.
