"I can already hear the sound of dopamine explosions from viewers!”-Fans React
Korean drama that once set online communities on fire with leaked kissing photos of the lead actors is now drawing massive anticipation as it releases its highlight video ahead of its premiere.

The highly anticipated K-drama 'My Dearest Nemesis', the follow-up to the hit drama The Queen Who Crowns, is quickly becoming the talk of the town as the first episode approaches. Recently, a teaser video was released, skyrocketing expectations among fans.

Based on the popular webtoon My Dearest Nemesis by writer Hyejin Yang, the drama follows the romance between Baek Soo-jung (played by Moon Ga-young), a "team leader killer" haunted by her past, and Ban Ju-yeon (played by Choi Hyun-wook), a third-generation chaebol who harbors a "black dragon" in his heart. The show stars Moon Ga-young, Choi Hyun-wook, Lim Se-mi, and Kwak Si-yang. Notably, fans are particularly excited about the chemistry between Moon Ga-young and Lim Se-mi, who previously played sisters in the 2020 drama True Beauty and earned a lot of love from viewers for their natural and compelling sibling dynamic. Now, in a similar romantic comedy genre, many are curious to see what kind of chemistry they will share as friends.
One significant difference between the drama and its webtoon origin lies in the plot. While the webtoon’s male protagonist, a middle school student, moves to Seoul and stays in the female protagonist’s father’s house during his college years, the drama adaptation shifts this element into an office setting.
As the two protagonists live together under unique circumstances, a variety of incidents unfold, adapted into an office drama, keeping viewers on edge about what new developments will arise.
Back in January, a kissing photo of the two lead actors, Moon Ga-young and Choi Hyun-wook, leaked online, causing a brief stir. Some netizens speculated that it was deliberately leaked for promotional purposes, but the production team clarified, saying, "Unfortunately, a four-frame photo of the two actors was accidentally leaked. We hope everyone looks forward to seeing the chemistry they’ll show in the drama."
In the teaser released on the 11th, Baek Soo-jung, while playing a game, calls Ban Ju-yeon her "ultimate dark history" and expresses her anger. They later meet again as a boss and subordinate in the workplace, and Baek Soo-jung discovers Ban Ju-yeon’s double life, leading to unexpected events. Unbeknownst to each other, they both remember each other as the worst first love, and their relationship gradually deepens, sparking curiosity among the public.

Reacting to the teaser, viewers expressed excitement, with many recognizing the chemistry between the cast members. "Moon Ga-young and Lim Se-mi... I knew I’d seen them before! They were sisters in True Beauty!" one fan remarked. Others pointed out the incredible attention to detail in the adaptation, with one saying, "Choi Hyun-wook's confession outfit is so similar to the one in the webtoon… even the key! Incredible adaptation!" Fans are also excited about the performances, with some commenting, "I’m excited for Moon Ga-young and Choi Hyun-wook's acting, but the secondary characters Lim Se-mi and Kwak Si-yang also have amazing chemistry!" One viewer humorously added, "I can already hear the sound of dopamine explosions from viewers!" Many are eager for the premiere, with reactions such as, "I really can’t wait to watch this!" and "I love Moon Ga-young in romantic comedies!"
