TVING’s original drama 'Study Group' is receiving an explosive response both domestically and internationally.

On February 11, TVING reported, “Since the release of 'Study Group,' the number of paid subscribers and unique viewers (UV) has doubled compared to its first week. The series also ranked No. 1 in paid subscription contributions for two consecutive weeks.”

Globally, the drama is making waves on the OTT platform Rakuten Viki, where it ranked in the weekly Top 5 in 143 countries within a week of release, including the U.S., Brazil, the U.K., France, India, and the UAE. With its solid storyline, the show earned an impressive rating of 9.8 out of 10 on Viki.

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, 'Study Group' follows Yoon Ga-min (played by Hwang Min-hyun), a student who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. The story revolves around his efforts to form a study group and navigate Korea’s intense academic competition.

In episodes 5 and 6, released on February 6, the chemistry between Han Kyung (played by Han Ji-eun), a passionate teacher determined to protect her students, and the members of the study group was a key highlight.

Han Kyung confronted the school’s discipline director, demanding disciplinary action against Han-ul (played by Cha Woo-min), as part of her mission to reform Yoo Seong High School. In response, the director proposed a deal: if the study group members could raise their rankings by 10 positions each, changes would be made. Brimming with confidence, Han Kyung gathered the team and encouraged them, saying, “If you listen carefully and follow my lead, you can do it.”

However, Han Kyung soon found herself threatened by Han-ul’s gang. Despite the danger, she remained composed, warning them in a calm tone, “If you need someone’s time, you ask politely. There’s no need for threats.” Her unwavering poise created a tense and powerful scene, leaving viewers eager to see what bold moves she will make next.
