Comedy thriller tackles the hot-button issue of noise complaints
A comedy film exploring the increasingly relevant issue of apartment noise complaints is coming soon. On February 6, the team behind the film The Noisy Mansion (literal translation: Baeksoo [Unemployed] Apartment) confirmed its release date for the 26th and unveiled the official poster.
The Noisy Mansion follows Baeksoo Geoul (Kyung Soo-jin), an out-of-work neighbor determined to uncover the source of mysterious 4 a.m. noises in her apartment complex. Her investigation soon spirals into a chaotic but humorous mystery as she involves her eclectic neighbors in the hunt for answers.

The newly released poster teases the film’s quirky characters, led by Geoul’s lively energy as she takes on neighborhood injustices with her unrelenting meddlesome charm. Neighbor Kyung-seok (Go Gyu-pil), a former accountant turned burnout, appears confused and unsettled as he gets dragged into her investigation. Meanwhile, Geoul’s younger brother Du-on (Lee Ji-hoon) watches with a mix of exasperation and resignation, hinting at sibling dynamics that will provide both tension and humor.
The poster also highlights other vibrant characters, including the neighborhood’s gossip-loving building representative Ji-won (Kim Joo-ryeong from Squid Game) and outspoken civil service exam student Saet-byeol (Choi Yoo-jung, former K-pop idol from Produce 101 and Weki Meki). The supporting cast—comprising a security guard (Jung Hee-tae), a shaman (Park Jung-hak), a police officer (Cha Woo-jin), and an ASMR YouTuber (Bae Jae-young)—suggests a comedic ensemble working together to solve a mystery that no one else has managed to crack.
The tagline on the poster reads, “At 4 a.m., the noise begins, and the meddlesome tenant’s investigation kicks off,” hinting at the film’s blend of mystery and humor.
The Noisy Mansion is set in the relatable space of a residential apartment complex, turning the familiar nuisance of noise complaints into a highly entertaining mystery. The film won recognition for its well-structured script at the 2020 Korean Film Council Screenplay Contest and drew international praise after its screening at the 19th London Korean Film Festival. Critics described it as a “perfect mix of warmth and humor,” a “genre-bending delight,” and a “hilarious yet heartwarming film with surprising twists.”
With its relatable premise and dynamic characters, The Noisy Mansion is one of the most anticipated reality-based films of 2025. It will hit theaters on the 26th.
